I bet they have the ability and the resources to do just that. Even more comprehensively if measurements were taken thoroughly and throughout an entire designated listeniing area. Factor frequency response and frequency variations utilizing a simple equation to standardize sampling measurements by quantifing results then true Decibel would have set the standard for sound reinforcement and amplification. An exercise in Unitiy and excellence. What say yee?

Re: Imagine if............... Decibel was to set a "worlds" record for Decibels produced at a live event?
Sun, January 7, 2007 - 1:12 PMGranted it's called Decibel, but to me the idea of cranking up the sound for the sole purpose of cranking up the sound isn't so good. Loud sound does not equal quality sound. All more noise would do is damage our ears some more.
Personally, I'd much, much rather hear quality sound across frequencies with a fantastic system at a lower volume. I hate it when I have to wear earplugs to tolerate being in the room with a large sound system, as the earplugs degrade the quality of the sound. I'm all for quality over volume.
